How to make lamp geometry ignored by renderer?

Hi. How to make lamp geometry (the glowing sphere) invisible in rendered image but keep its illumination effect? I have a mesh that I want to lit additionally from the front and the lamp’s sphere is covering part of it. I can turn off visibility of the lamp’s pole and that’s great but how to deal with the sphere? (see the image)
