Hi,

I just downloaded the demo. I like the simplicity. I have a question though regarding media: is it possible to put a medium inside a different medium, for example a glass ball inside a plastic ball?

Hi graphicsdude,

Yes, you just need to make sure that the internal ball has a medium precedence greater the the medium precendence of the outer ball, and both are greater then one (since a medium precedence equal to one defaults to air). Then assign the “Dielectric” surface scattering and the “dielectric” medium to both balls, tweaking the index of refractions, let’s say 1.6 for glass and 1.4 for plastic.
