What’s the best workflow for exporting a model from Max and preparing it for importing into SketchUp using the FluidImporter? Are any of the OBJ presets better than the other for this?
So I did a little playing and this is what I have so far.
1 - Use a script to convert all materials to Standard
2 - Export OBJ using Bryce preset and with create mat-library checked on
If there are issues importing in SU, it could be a modifier on a mesh - check and collapse all modifiers. I came across an issue with a complex mesh that was only resolved by running Pro Optimize on it, collapsing, and then re-exporting.
